St. Ives the Queen of Exfoliation (A Product Review)

Introduction
One of the processes that you must consider in whitening is ridding the dead superficial layers of your skin. This process is called exfoliation. With rough (but not so rough to avoid skin irritation) cloth or face towel, you can effectively exfoliate your skin. However, this method requires you to regularly change the towel as bacteria grow on it.

Some facial cleansers put micro-beads to help us exfoliate our skin without the use of face towels. And now, we will have an extensive look on a well-known facial scrub that is said to be an aid in exfoliating our skin. Introducing, ST. IVES APRICOT SCRUB!

This product is recommended by Edward Avila, a YouTube User. I never had a doubt of trying this [the fact that Edward has a very flawless and white skin] so a day after, I went to the store where it is sold and bought a small tube of St. Ives Apricot Scrub.

Where to buy
You can buy this stuff at any Watson’s branches. I also see this in any SM Supermarket Stores

Price
P69 for the small tube and P179 for the big tube.

Pros
1. Packaging is neat. It has real beads that can effectively exfoliate one’s skin! You can comfortably put this on to your bag because the packaging is really secured.

2. Near to odorless. If you have olfactory sensitivity, this is a good thing to you.

3. Relaxing to face. Your face is like having its massage because of the micro-seeds in St. Ives It comes in different variants. I bought the one for Blemishes and Black Heads.

Cons
1. It is not bubbly. Bubbles are hardly seen and it does not lather at all. I do not know if it is the manufacturer's intention but I prefer bubbly scrubs.

2. A little bit pricey. If you are only allocating your budget for the cheap ones, this is not for you. Though it is a little bit pricey, it really is worth it! Results take place drastically.

Final Verdict
St. Ives Apricot Scrub is indeed effective in exfoliating your skin. It brings natural moisture on your face. Unlike other products used for exfoliation, St. Ives exfoliates your face silently, i.e., not obviously and conspicuously. When you empty your tube, you can contemplate on how St. Ives meets your expectations; or should I say, how St. Ives exceeds your expectations.

Will I buy another tube of St. Ives?
Of course I will! And this time, I’ll go for the bigger tube. But I recommend for the first timers to buy the smaller tube and observe whether they are allergic to St. Ives.

If you want to whiten your skin, do not forget to exfoliate.

Tips on Using St. Ives
Prior to using this product, use a facial wash to remove the dirt from your skin. I recommend Ponds with Activated Carbon. Then proceed to St. Ives. Also, St. Ives is not used on an every day basis. I only use this every other day to avoid conspicuous skin redness and other irritations.
