Richard Gomez is an icon of a man being tall, dark and handsome. Call him the total package – sporty, kind, smart and very masculine. Truly he is a matinee idol and girl’s living fantasy. PUPians couldn’t imagine that the most eligible bachelor of the country walked down in the Mabini Campus as a regular student.
There is no doubt on his acting career, having a grand slam victory over the GAWAD URIAN Best Actor Award. He married Lucy Torres Gomez a very sophisticated women.
At Present Richard is engaged in politics through her wife, re-elect representative of 4th district of Leyte. Also Richard is part of the Philippine Men Volleyball team.
2. Marcelo Santos

Marcelo Santos III has very prominent name on Facebook. He is a graduate of Bachelor in Advertising and Public Relation in Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He is the mind behind YouTube’s Love story on Video which got viral on 2010. He is the Author of the bestselling novels, “para sa hopeless romantic”, “para sa broken hearted” and his newest “mahal mo siya, mahal ka ba?”
Now Marcelo’s book “para sa hopeless romantic” is now being modified as a movie performed by James Reid, Nadine Samonte and other young stars. Indeed, no matter where Marcelo Santos III goes, he never forgets to return to his home. He often visits PUP to have his Marcelo Talk. Marcelo’s Fan page on Facebook already reached the 5.5 million mark.
3. Ted Failon

Ted Failon graduated with a degree of Bachelor in Broadcast Communication in 1996. He is one of the news anchors in TV Patrol. Ted is the host on his own TV show “Failon Ngayon”, which tackles some serious issues that needs to be solved in our country.
Just a correction, PUP Pylon and Pylon run is not named after Ted. He is a proud alumnus of the university; even he does not deny that fact on his TV interviews.
4. Papa Jack

Have you ever heard of a heart doctor? Heard of a heart doctor that offers service over the radio? Papa Jack or John Gemperle in true life is the famous DJ that solves all the love problems of his callers by giving them advice. But what Papa Jack wants to justify is that he is not good in giving advice, what he does is he gives them the most logical answer to their problems.
He is a famous mass communication student of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Aside from True Love Confessions and Wild Confessions aired at 90.7 Love radio, he also gives advice on his new show called Call me Papa Jack on TV 5.
5. Cristina Decena

The woman who earned her 1st million at the age of 20 made possible by Cristina Decena. Her story is a true to life from rugs to riches. As a child she suffered poverty in extreme level. Cristina doesn’t want to be a burden to her parents so she decided to work at a young age. She sells candies as a child and when she became a PUPian she began to sell clothes and foods. From these small businesses, she saved them then later invests in real estate which earned her 1st million at the age of 20.
She took the course BS Economics because she wanted to know more about profit and loss. Now she is a billionaire living on her own mansion. Her great success made her worthy to belong on our list of these amazing PUPians.
